Hi there Debbie

I have just logged on to your website to show Meg, since I have been telling her all about you. In fact, we set aside some time this afternoon from 2.30 pm to about 3.00 pm to do a special meditation for you. Meg will tell you about that in a moment. We are all still thinking about you and praying for your healing. We are very positive about that indeed. The photographs of the Raceforlife should be with you now, hope you like them. Now over to Meg for her message ...

Hi Debbie, Meg here! I grew up with Dewey in our young people's group at Corby and I only met you once. Iris and I felt that we would like to send our love and some healing to you through our meditation together. We wondered whether you would sense it or feel it at all, our messages of love. Hi to Dewey and Aurora, p/s your photographs are beautiful!

Well Debbie, I (Iris again) am off to Kos in Greece tomorrow for two whole weeks but I will be thinking of you often and praying for more good news. Take care y'all! Love you

Iris and Meg

Dear Debbie, Dewey and Aurora,
Just wanted to say hi and let you to know that I check your website often to keep track of your progress and it sure sounds like things are going great. So glad to hear it.
Dylan has a pool similar to Aurora's and it is his favorite place in the world. We are going to Hawaii at the end of the month for a little vacation. Dylan wants to see the volcano. Anyways, take care and keep up the good work.

Debbie, I don't know you personally, but my friend, Shelley Nicks does. She shared your story and web page with me today. I have to say that I am deeply moved, especially because I too have a two-year old daughter and also because of the positive attitude you seem to have in the face of such a hard disease. I am commited to praying earnestly for you on a consistent basis and will also add you to our prayer list at church! GOD IS SO VERY FAITHFUL! And, though he allows us to live in a world where disease and illness are so rampant He loves us more than we can possibly comprehend! To know this is FAITH, and God,s word tells us that "Without faith it is impossible to please God." So, let us all be faithful concerning your illness and ask the Father of all things good to heal you completely and fully!! And, in the event that healing of the cancer plaguing your precious body is not in His will for your life, we will praise Him just the same, and ask that He strenghthen you and enable you to live the rest of the life He will bless you with in a manner of integrity-a spirit of "peace that surpasses all understanding"-a heart full of joy abounding-and a legacy left behind that says "Debbie Franklin was a woman of great courage and strength. A woman who loved her Lord, her friends and her family with everything that she was." Peace to you and love abundant. sincerely, Niki Hambright.

Hi Debbie,
It has been many years, hell, and high water, but you and I are apparently both up to the challenge. Chuck (aka Crawford) called me a few weeks ago to let me know about your situation. I have been somewhat lax in my response, but I assure you that it has to do with my own demons, not yours.

Please let me know how you are. I have been taken aback by your news, and for some unkown, subconsious reason, have not written until now. I do not quite know why, but I want very much to talk to you.

Just respond to my email, and I will give you all of my personal info, and look forward to a conversation.

It has been years since Exodus, but I still have plenty of ammunition to blackmail you into calling, so please write.

I miss you, and I love you.

Dearest Deb,
We all grinned and cheered Thursday (in a scholarly fashion, of course) as I read your update about stepping into the cool waters of REMISSION! We've prayed for you so often at World Bible Translation Center during our regular Thursday Bible studies and prayer times for the nations. I'm proud to say that Dewey's illustration of the Gospel of Matthew is hanging in my office! It's still arresting as it ever was ... every time someone new steps into my office they do a double take and "Oh wow!" is pretty predictable.
I've shaken my head in wonder at some of your treatments. The acupuncture, the aroma therapy and meditaion, the organic foods are all fine and good ... but belly dancing? The Medical Community won't take this one lying down. It did look like Aurora was a tad more into it than you were!
You really should enter the next Miss Skinhead competition that comes around. You're a sure bet winner.
I'm still badgering the heavenlies for that full remission.
Armfulls of love from Texas

Dear Debbie, Dewey and Aurora.

It's been a long time since our paths have crossed.
Donna and Brian keep me updated on your progress. It's great to hear that you are in partial remission. I have read your messages and it's lovely to see so many people united in different ways, for the same cause. It must make you feel truly loved.

I took part in the run with Donna on Sunday in Leics. It was really good fun and again great to see so many people from different walks of life, young, old, able bodied and in wheel chairs being united. All women as well. (Women of the world unite). We were united in our enthusiasm at the beginning and in our red faces, aching muscles and the desperate need for water afterwards.

I think Donna was sending you some photos of us after we finished the race. Remembering the state of how we were, I hope they don't scare you too much.

Both of your fighting spirit is a true inspiration.

Thinking of you
Peace and Happiness

Hi Debbie

Wow! We did it! The Race for Life this morning was just brilliant - a group of us arrived (pictures on the way soon) at Leicester's Victoria Park on the hottest day of the year so far - 30.5 degrees today and it was hot hot hot. But hotter was our love and admiration for you and we said how wonderful it was to run with you in our hearts. Brian and Pete took loads of pics (fronts and backs!), befores and afters. There were over 1500 ladies taking part in the sweltering heat - all of them touched by cancer in some way. Between us all the estimated money raised was over £6 million.

Debbie, the initial news is great about remission. He is able to do far more than we could ever ask or think - let's believe that every day. I have been praying for you. I go to a special garden near where I live where is quiet and tranquil, there is a pond where water flows peacefully - and I pray for healing for you. I term it "God's garden". We all need healing at some time in our life.

God bless you my sister in Christ, I ran for you today.

Bonjour mes ch> ris !

Je voulais vous dire que votre maison va bien !
Elle nous a accueillis lundi soir pour un tres agreable diner avec Claudine, Christophe, Howard et une copine Nicola.
Quel merveilleux moment nous avons passé, grace à vous !
Merci, mille fois merci !

Dear Deb, Dewey and Aurora,
Thanks so much for the Tour des France the last couple of weeks ... the beautiful faces and familiar places were a nice recall. Erin, Addie and Cameron were in Atlanta while you were away so you missed the kisses, hugs and laying on off hands ... those little hands are usually kind of sticky any way ... so there.
I'm so glad you were home and surrounded by all that beauty that is LeMeur ... there is really a lot more to that hill than stones, dirt and sun flowers isn't there!
Life isn't so bad in the duplex district of N. Richland Hills either! The kiddy-pool is cool, the neighbors are nice, our church totally rocks and I have a job that pays a living wage. Cameron turns three next month, Guests from Bulgaria are on the way, close friends just moved in not far away (Chris and Tiffany Guild & Eden (4) and Jordan (2) so we have free trade-off baby sitting for the 50 cent Tuesday night movies!
If you get a hankering for some fine Texas fare (is bar-b-que on your organic menue ... corn bread and beans? aw heck ... I'll mow the grass and add vinegar and olive oil) and some company tha will treat you riiight ... we're only an I20 and 15 hours away.

Welcome back to stateside

Ciao Debbie,
We received a letter from Tami that gave us this address. We don't get on the computer much but wanted to write you. I also talked to Fiona and Bruce Smith in Northampton (now moved to Lubbock, TX so Bruce can attend Sunset) and she gave me a few more details of what is going on in yours, Dewey's, and Aurora's lives. We want you to know that we are praying for you and your family, all of your family. I can't imagine what it must be like for you but know you are strong through it all from what Tami wrote. That is such an example to all who know you I am sure including me.

I don't know if Tami told you or not but we just had our fourth baby, a girl (after 3 boys)!, and I was in the hospital for 2 months. They were telling me daily that my life was in danger and at times even the baby's but mainly mine. I had placenta previa centrale and could hemorage at any time with there being no possible way to stop it--or a transfusion was talked about and even the extraction of the uterus. I guess you could say I looked death in the face a little, not as you might be, but it was scary to me all the same and I was quite alone in the hospital only to be able to see Giuseppe 2 hours a day during visiting hours and the boys only when I could get up to go down to see them (we had to buy a wheelchair because I could not walk the whole two months). All this to say I did not handle myself well and it was even harder to pray and converse with God. I was quite disappointed and expected to do better. For this reason I say you are an example to me. Noone really knows how they will react when in certain situations and you have proved yourself to be such a woman of faith and courage. Our love is sent to you over the seas and we will continue to keep you in our prayers and thoughts. Love to all your family and give Tami a special hug for me! Love from all of us De Marcos--Giuseppe, Jennifer, Lorenzo, Luca, David, and Rachel
