Dear Debbie, Dewey, and Aurora,

We met many years ago in Paris. My family moved to Paris in '89 time frame, and you two were utilizing the spare room on top of our building. I was the oldest of the children in that family. I have many memories of you helping me out in a time that language seemed an impossible barrier (Ma capacit de parler en franais s'est considrablement amliore. -- Although, it is FAR from perfect, thus why I finish this letter in English [smile])

My family's heart and prayers go to you and your family in this time of need. If there is anything we can do to help, please do not hesitate to let us know.

I must also note, that you have one beautiful daughter! She has those angel eyes that touch your heart. :)

If you have time, please drop us an e-mail, I would love to hear from you! And again, good luck, we are thinking of you all, and our prayers will be with you.

Courage !

Hi Debbie!
Tammy and I are thinking about you, and praying for you, Dewey, and Aurora! I don't know if you've already heard, but when I was in England 2 weeks ago, I met Dewey's parents at the Northampton church of Christ! They were wonderful! I didn't want to stop talking to them! It's a small world. They bragged about you non-stop. They had exciting news. I think it was their grandson, Kyle, who was being baptized the next Sunday! Take care and God Bless!

Debbie, Dewey and Aurora,

I just want to let you know that just as we have rejoiced with you over the victories, we continue to hold you up in prayer as you make decisions about future treatment. I know that with stage 4 cancer, it doesn't go away, it just goes into remission. So now, as it rears it's ugly head reminding us that it is still there, you are in our prayers more than ever. We continue to pray for healing, wisdom and that you will feel the comfort that only our Father can give.

We love you so much!

Remember me from France? I was really shocked to hear from Hugh how sick Debbie had been, but your website is much more positive, so let's all keep on praying. Obviously we have all been terribly shocked by this week's events too, but there is HUGE support for the US here, so I think we'll all just have to hold on to our seats and see what happens. Sorry to send this in on the query site, by the way, but I couldn't seem to email you for some reason - if you mail me I can probably reply OK. I'd also like to help you guys financially, so please send me details of how I do that. Much love to you all from Stephen

Mes chers Amis,

Hiya sister

I'm so excited about the news I keep telling everyone I meet - there are people I talk to about you all the time and do you know what? it gives me an opportunity to tell them about the wonderful things God has done and will do - so in a strange sort of way your illness has given us all opportunities to let people know about your website and more importantly, the power of prayer. I have just finished reading a book which showed trials which were conducted about prayer and little surprise, the trials proved without doubt that prayer does work, even when he recipient is unaware that they are being prayed for. Isn't that just wonderful. I believe that collective prayer like what you have been receiving, has more power and I am convinced beyond all doubt that prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have as Christians. If only I could pray more!

Keep positive - it only works!

Hi Deb,
Such great news and I'm so glad it continues.
Praise God!
It was wonderful to see your dad at morning worship this past Sunday...the face is not so stressful now and that was especially nice to see again :-)
Sorry that Dewey's health is a problem, but I have prayed all along that he would be able to hold up through the stress and strain of caregiving. It's tough to watch the suffering of the one you love so much, all the while trying to stay strong and healthy yourself. Dewey, I do know what you're going through...sort'a, and I also know the power of God and a wonderful support group. I don't know what we would have done without our church family. And, here you are with a world-wide church support group. WOW!
Hang in there and know that we are all here for you too.
Sounds like life in Atlanta has been remarkable and I'm so happy that your mom and dad are able to live there now, and you can all be together.
We continue to lift you up to our great Comforter, He is everything to us.
Give hugs all 'round, Sweet Girl, and know that we love you,

I know this was a horrible experience for you, but I think you have to admit a lot of really positive and wonderful things came about because of it. I think God used you (because he knew you and your family could handle it) as an example to the world of how to act and respond to this horrible disease. He
chose you to be our example of how to love him and trust him, that all things will work for good, and he will answer prayer. Thank you Debbie for being such a wonderful example to me and those around the world who have visited your website. Thank you for teaching us how to ralley together and pray todgether.

Praise the Lord...He is so good. God has told us to totally depend on him for all things! You have done that, sweet girl, and He has surely heard your request.
We have never been involved in such a great blessing as this has been, with so many people all over the world. Living with one who suffers pain and needs healing, causes suffering of our own. I know that pain and I know that Dewey has been beset with pain over your illness, but has never lost the hope that lies out there for all who believe.
Anything is possible when we put our total faith and belief in Him...
He loves us so very much, but we must call on Him.
The Great Comforter has heard our prayers. He is alive and wanting to heal our sorrows, our pain, our bodies and our broken hearts.
Debbie, you have truly been an inspiration to me as you've kept your confidence in Him.
I am in awe of all that has transpired since we received the news of your illness from your mom and dad. Who would not want to know a God who loves us so very much?!?!?
Can hardly wait to hear what's next!
I know there have been hugs all 'round, but add ours to the love that flows there in Georgia...especially to Mom & Dad.
Much love to you'all, Barbara

Debbie we rejoice with you because of your great news of healing. Our God is a great God and true to His word and keeps His promises. Prayer really does work. We have to go through these things because we are human. I would rather be made this way and be able to think and make decisions than to be pre-programmed or to have never existed. Through these times we come to know Him and His great Love, His infinite Mercy and His marvelous Grace towards us. As David wrote in Psalms 103 "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Your Faith and courage has been an inspiration to us.

First thing this morning I checked the website and wept for joy. I am so thankful and happy that God is answering our prayers and your body is being healed. Keep up the good fight. Love you. Patricia

Debbie -
It was so good to read your latest update!! When will you be returning to France? We would love for that to happen soon.
My Mom has been visiting and we're expecting my sister today. A friend was in for the week-end as well.
The sun is shining and for good reason. Continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
With love,

First I want to say, Girl you look beautiful with no hair.
I have been keeping up with all your news. It is such an awesome web site. During all your physical struggles with this cancer you still praise God, that's what it is all about. You probably don't know how many you touch daily. What an inspiration and testimony to God's love you are. It seems so long since I've seen you and yet I feel like it was just yesterday we were all dancing on the Queen Mary. You have been in my prayers for months, I am sorry I haven't written until now. I share your story with my friends here, they all want to meet you. Aurora looks just like her momma, what a beautiful child! I love all your precious pictures. Thank you for sharing your life with me once again. I see you living life to the fullest and that is how it should be when we're in Christ. I love you Debbie Bridges Franklin and I ask for total healing that only comes from our Father. What an Awsome God we serve!

We have been hearing updates from Rick from time to time, but today he called me at work to tell me to go check out the website and read the good news. CONGRATULATIONS on having such an amazing fighting body, you are incredible. That and all of that healing energy that all of your loved ones are sending your way - including folks who we have told to send healing thoughts who don't even know you.
Happy happy day!
much much healthy love,

Dear Debbie, Dewey and Aurora - I am so thankful to our dear Father for the good news which you have received. We will continue to pray fervently for continued recovery. Statistics do not take into account the might power of God. Please have all your friends and loved ones to continue to pray for my daughter and friend of Gloria and Frankie, MITZI HOLLAND. Dewey, we feel that God specifically provided your parents to teach and help Mitzi and her family when they were in England. Lifelong friendships were formed.

We ask God's blessings upon each of you and continue to look for good news.

Oh Deb, what great news....but did we doubt???
NO! :-)
So sorry we haven't sent messages for a while, but have had a lot going on here too. We went to North Carolina for a 2 week stay with our kids, but ended up staying 3 glorious weeks that we hated to see end. The weather was pleasant, enjoyable enough for Bill to get outside for nice walks. We remodeled Kristy's kitchen while there, all of us working very hard, the kids included. It was fun...but know it was because we were all together on the project. Looks great too!
When we returned home, Bill had his 6 month check up and it went very well. After his accident and paralysis 3 years ago, the Dr. told him he would never get his left hand back. But, while examining him this time, he asked Bill to grasp his hand, which he did. The doctor was VERY pleased that it had not "locked-up" after all this time, and immediately made arrangements for him to be back in therapy. It is going very well and we are soooo thankful. His PSA levels were waaaaaaaay back down too, hopefully the visit with the Urologist will go as well. So...we're back on track too.
Good news all the way around! :-)
We were sorry to not see you while you were here, but see from the pics that you had a wonderful and restful time. Just loved the pics from DW...always fun to see Mickey and Minnie!
Can't wait to see what you decide to do about future treatment. My sister-in-law Sandy, has been struggling with cancer and chemo and just continuing to live until a cure comes along. We always pray for the two of you as a team! I told my brother about your website and hope he sees your latest news.
Better get with the action around here...lots to do today.
Take care sweet girl and know that you are loved.
Give big hugs to your mom and dad and tell them for me that I greatly admire them for being the people they are, but also for raising you with such a great hope!
Much love, Barbara

Hi Debbie, Dewey, Aurora, Millers and Bridges!
The first thing, no, the second thing I did this morning was check the web.
I hope that all who have been praying so fervantly for this report felt as triumphant as I did!
I walked up town today for a cup of tea and could hardly restrain myself from doing cartwheels!
I know that this is an incomplete report, but, to move from no hope to much hope is "sufficient for the day".
You must have been so very happy to not need your ration of chemo. yesterday.
Lance Armstrong will probobly be calling you for advice!
When he does, tell him, Medicine and Prayer.
I feel as though I played a part in this healing with my prayers, even mine. I hope everyone feels the same way.
Does this mean I must rush back to France and chop wood?
Oh Dear, Oh dear, that wood is getting hard!
Lots of Love, and Hugs, and Kisses.
